With a Degree in Craft Design and Sculpture from Manchester Metropolitan University and a Fellowship Award, Matt has used his 3D skills in Wood, Metal, Ceramics and Textiles to work in Theatre and Production Company Workshops, as well as build his own set designs in Fringe Theatre venues and Art and Site Specific Installations.

He worked for two seasons as an Assistant Designer at the New Victoria Theatre in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent as a Prop Maker and Scenic Artist.

He has worked for various production companies including Codsteaks in Bristol and Souvenir in South London, predominately as a polystyrene carver, scenic artist and carpenter.

He designed / storyboarded and made the backdrops and scenes with a team at Cosprop, for John Bright‘s own puppet production short film of The Moon Princess.

He also has completed an internship at the Royal Pavilion and Brighton Museums 3D Department and has a certificate in Conservation and Restoration from Craven College (Wood Carving and Traditional Timber Framework, Stone Masonry and Plaster Mouldings).
